Saturday Snapshots #12

Hello and welcome to Saturday Snapshots! Today’s installment comes from the Cliff Walk in Newport, Rhode Island where my wife and I have just had a very pleasant 6 mile walk by the sea. Newport is famous for its huge mansions where the rich and famous of the Gilded Age built huge summer houses by the sea that they modestly called “cottages”. Many of the mansions still survive and an excellent way to view them is from the Cliff Walk. I hope you enjoy the photos! 🙂

  1. Great shots! We visited some of the Newport Mansions a couple of weeks ago and just loved doing the tours. Sadly on the day of our visit the weather was pretty horrendous so we didn’t end up doing the cliff walk. I would love to return to do the walk and tour a few more of the mansions some day.
