Saturday Snapshots #13

Today my wife and I got on a boat and headed to Georges Island, one of the many islands in Boston Harbor. It was a beautiful day and the island was fantastic, with a huge fort that covers nearly the whole area that was used to hold Confederate prisoners in the Civil War.You can go into a lot of the fort buildings and from the top of the ramparts you get great views of the other islands and of the Boston skyline. I hope you like the photos!

View of a neighbouring island. Boston Harbor does not usually look this good!

The interior of Fort Warren with the Boston skyline behind.

Boston Light in the distance. I only had my compact camera on me but the 10x zoom at least captured the lighthouse; with my phone camera it looked like a pencil!
